The Selection

My rating for this book: 4 stars out of 5
My favourite thing about “The Selection” book is how it’s unique to other series and books. There are a few similarities to other books but once you get into it, you won’t notice at all. If I could make a change to this book (though it’s pretty perfect already) it would probably be to change the main character’s name and the prince’s name. It mostly reminded me of “The Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins (not as deadly though).
The one character I could relate most to some one I know would be America’s (the main characters) younger sister May. Her personality and her “boy craziness” totally reminded me of my own little sister. The characters were more interesting than others because of their personalities and how they were all completely different from each other’s but they were all so connected…ya know?
“The Selection” is only the first book in the series. It continues on with four others after that, but the last two are based on a different character… (don’t want to give too much away). I think anyone who likes romance or drama mixed with some Sci-Fi should absoloutley read this series 🙂
