A Wish Never Lies

My sister picked a dandelion the other day.
She gave it to our mother who said thank you.
I said, “Make a wish! Make the clouds go away.”
Our mother took a deep breath and blew.
All the little seeds flew right off the stem.
And so we all waited, for our wish to come true.
Soon, little by little, we no longer saw them –
The clouds disappeared right before our very eyes!
“It worked”, I said as we jumped with joy.
“Of course it did,” said mother, “A wish never lies.”
