The Butchers Boot
An icy pool of dust simmer’s its tide
Upon these raw, pink shores of fleshy hide.
The pool floors inky black leather sands
Uniform coat within lithospheric bands,
To the core of this tough and rocky planet.
The Butchers aching little foot.
