The Long Road

Driving past
I look and see
The differences
In every tree

We then gain speed
It begins to blur
An amalgamation
Where nothing is sure

Would I rather walk
For days on end
Just to smell every flower
No, I won’t pretend

Why, I’d never make it
I’d tire and die
But in the car it goes by
In the blink of an eye
