Good-byes Are Never Good.

Good-byes are never good. I never understood why they were called “good-byes” in the first place.
But then he left. He left, and never came back.
And maybe… maybe it was for the better.

This is an excerpt of a larger story I’m writing. Ironically, it’s the beginning of the story; it’s purpose is to highlight themes of loss and sorrow through a couple having to part.
Good-byes are never good. You just have to deal with it.

Hero Gone Wrong

I only used 3 books but this poem is extremely powerful and is inspired by Macbeth by William Shakespeare. Macbeth could have been a great hero, and maybe at some point he was. He could have saved HIS OWN people, but he let his wife and her madness...

Downfall

Sometimes, relationships don’t have a “happily-ever-after”. These book spines tell the story of two people who fell in love with each other but met their downfall — hence, the title. *Second book says “The Start of Me and You”

School

School is a great place to be, but sometimes, it’s just too much. In the perspective of a high schooler, the amount of work given to students can really, really have a big impact on them, and it needs to be taken into consideration.

I Shouldn’t Have Fallen For A Gamer

This poem is a unique combination of heartbreak and video games; the mixed emotions you feel when heartbroken are all expressed through video game references throughout the poem. The target audience are obviously gamers because there are different references throughout the entire piece that only they can understand, although some are very general and most can probably pick up a few. Hope you enjoy!

Bloom

I saw flowers on a little tree at a park and I had to take a picture of it. In the picture, the flowers look like they’re reaching out for the sky and, well, blooming.

Platonic

Love is perceived differently by different people; you can love someone romantically or you can love someone platonically. Either way, it’s love.

Silent But Deadly

This picture was taken late at night when I saw that the moon was actually RED. The picture portrays the peaceful silence of the night, but the red moon makes the scenery a bit ominous. Overall, it seems a bit surreal, which is what makes the picture aesthetically...

Raised With Wolves

Nirvana’s life isn’t exactly how she wants it to be — she only wants happiness and peace of mind. When her mother goes to visit Nirvana’s Aunt every week, she’s forced to deal with her cruel cousins who do nothing but torment her. But see, she will not tolerate this behavior any longer; she has had enough with their relentless assaults. Now, it’s time to fight back and take a stand. Now, it’s time for the hunters to become the hunted.

Take Me

Falling in love with someone is easy — finding out whether or not you’re destined to be together, however, is hard. And it’s so inexplicably painful when you find out you can’t be with that person. This poem is about loving someone who is unattainable, expressed through the metaphorical use of a girl looking at the sunset over the ocean. This is my attempt at writing a Neruda-esque piece!
